The Best Things in Life…
For nearly ten years, I’ve been transforming spaces for very special events. Owning an event design and management business is exciting, challenging and a career like no other. There are no set hours, often crazy deadlines, amazing people, and no two events are alike.
Along the way, I’ve assisted our clients with their fundraisers and friend-raisers, black tie galas, red carpet events, business and private parties, receptions and incentive travel events. Warehouses to wineries, backyards to ballrooms. My life has been blessed by helping others to raise millions for charity, build community goodwill and celebrate life’s milestones.
The many spaces & places that we have worked in, have been my muse. I find unique venues and worldwide destinations, inspiring. Architectural and interior design details, cuisine, fashion influences, culture and history, artisan talent, regional music, sensory adventures. I want to soak it up like a good french dip sandwich.
Growing up, my mother made sure we had times to remember. Like the time we had High Tea in a historic San Francisco hotel. We nibbled on cucumber sandwiches and laughed when we raised our pinkies while we drank English tea!. I can still see the silver service, the staff in their classy uniforms, and hear the piano in the background. We felt like real ladies.
It is the people, places, stories and experiences, that people remember most.
I’ve learned to pay it forward and create personal, memorable and unexpected experiences for others. There is such satisfaction at the end of the day. This is what inspires me now. Unique venues and unique experiences. Peaking the senses. These are the best things in life.
This is ironic. My husband just walked in the door, and handed me a pretty envelope. An early birthday present, he said, to fulfill one of my LifeWish experiences.
